With the growing number of requests for customized GoPro Session mounts, I thought it was time for a universal mount. This can be moved from frame to frame, by cutting zipties or removing a strap.

Available in many different angles.

Opterra Pan/Tilt FPV camera mechanism

The Horizon Hobby Opterra is a great plane to fly, especially with an Eagle Tree Vector.

With the Vector in auto mode, and with this mount, you can look around while you are flying.

I saw a lot of pan/tilt mechs, and didn’t like any of them, so I made a small, streamlined turret-style mount specifically for the Opterra.

This could easily be used on many different platforms.

Servos/screws/control rods not included.

This mount fits the standard Hobby King 9 gram servos. I recommend the metal gear servo for the bottom.

TGY-50090M or similar

The Horizon Hobby Opterra comes with a bunch of mounts, but no GoPro Session mount. Here is the solution.

Made from TPU, this mount is very light and effective.

X-Frame GoPro Session Mount

This GoPro Session mount was built for the UBad Katana, but works with most x-frames featuring a flight controller-stack mounting shape.

Made from TPU, it is nearly indestructible, and will help protect your gopro session.

Camera angle at 35 degrees.

UBAD Kama – Hero 3/4 – Pod

The UBAD Kama Hero Pod protects your electronic guts from dew, dirt and grass, and now it can hold a GoPro Hero 3 or 4.

Made from TPU.

FPV camera angles – 30,45-60

GoPro Angle – 30 – foam can be added to increase angle.

Hardware not included:

8mm m2 screws or servo screws for mounting fpv camera

(4) 10mm m3 screws and non-nylock m3 nuts for mounting

Kama Pod V2 – with GoPro Session mount

The Kama Pod v1 is awesome, but didn’t allow for any hd camera mounting.

The Kama Pod v2 is lighter, provides better mounting options, and carries a GoPro Session.

I would love to have kept the bolts under the pod for looks, but, in order to create a lighter pod, it couldn’t be done.

Made from TPU.

needed hardware (not included):

(2) either servo screws or 8mm m2 screws for fpv camera.
(4) 10mm M3 Button head screws for mounting
(4) (NON-NYLOCK) M3 nuts for mounting – the nylock ones will strip out the TPU.

These pods are extremely durable, and will keep your electronics safely enclosed.

Holes were purposely left out, so that builders can customize the pod to their building style with a soldering iron (a soldering iron can make holes quickly and easily in TPU)

X Frame – Receiver Mount

This was designed for the UBAD Katana, but should fit most x frames with pdb/flight control-style mounting.

This will fit frsky x4r/d4r/xsr and spectrum satellite receivers (x4r and d4r need to be depinned).

X Frame – VTX/XT60 Mounts

The X Frame XT60 and VTX mounts were designed for the UBAD Katana, but fit most x frame quads that use standoffs on top of the flight controller.

These mounts were designed to take the place of the spacer between the pdb and flight controller. They are 10mm high.

(4) 25mm m3 screws are recommended to mount the pdb and flight controller for adequate space.

This is packaged as one of each: one VTX and one XT60 mount.

Twerker FPV Camera Mount

This camera mount was designed for the UBAD Twerker, and is set to keep the fpv camera from dropping below a certain angle. The angle is 20 degrees with a 2.1 lens, but angle will vary depending on the lens size.

It replaces the standard camera mounts in the front of the Twerker.

This is designed to fit the hs1177 and similar cameras.

Twerker VTX/Receiver Mount

The Twerker VTX/Receiver Mount was designed to replace the carbon plate in the rear, and to be versatile to fit many items, such as VTX, Receiver, Pololu and other electronics

There are zip tie holes for smaller items.

This was designed to be fairly universal, for example, it also fits on the back of an x frame quad, like the Katana.
